 "SOMETHING NEW"
The Sweet Home-BackBeat64 concert festival was a huge success!  BackBeat'64 would like to thank everyone for the sellout event. The money raised will benefit the Sweet Home Music Dept. Special thanks to the Sweet Home music dept. and all of the performing students and stage help that worked tirelessly to make this event a truely one-of-a-kind event and a first for western NY.

Some reviews from the show:

"I would have paid $100 to see an event like this..."

"All the songs were terrific, but I have to highlight "A Day In The Life", it was unbelievably good. I can't find words strong enough to express how much I loved it..."

"The talent of the kids was incredible and they did beautifully performing with BackBeat'64  ... and how hard that must have been for you (Jim Marone) directing your kids when BackBeat'64 wasn't even facing/watching you..."

"Hey Guys, I am co-host for the new Beatle Memories show on WJJL-AM radio. I just wanted to send you all my congratulations on a terrific show Wednesday night. Your hard work with the Sweet Home HS Chorus, Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra sure was in evidence. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. You all pulled it off very professionally."

From Harv Moore .. "Thanks so much for the invite to the concert. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Those kids are amazing. 46 years ago tonight (Feb.11, 1964) I was on stage at the D.C. Coliseum, along with 11 other Washington DC deejays, to introduce the Beatles at their first concert in the U.S. The concert last night brought back a lot of memories. The Sweet Home Music Departments-both at the Middle School, and the High School are exceptional."

"Last night was amazing. The solo for While My Guitar Gently Weeps was excellent...hit every note perfect. For me it was the highlight of the show. And the Magical Mystery Tour with everyone involved came out really good too."
